Metodix

Metodix is a network environment for scientific and applied research, methods and their study. Metodix is a meeting place aiming to get both researchers and method developers and those who study and teach research methodology to communicate with each other. Metodix also contains articles covering the whole research process. As a learning environment, Metodix supports voluntary, self-directed, problem-based, and social learning.

Internetix Campus

Internetix Campus in Southern Savo has constructed Finland's largest net-based learning environment. There are a few hundred learning materials and services at www.internetix.fi. They are freely available to anyone. (See Nettilukio, Nettiperuskoulu).

eDelfoi.ning is a social media institution available for researchers, develelopers and students.

The Finnish Society for Futures Studies

The Finnish Society for Futures studies was established in 1980 on the recommendation of the government's Central Board of Research Councils. Fourteen Finnish institutions of higher education were the founding members, and 14 additional institutions and over 700 individuals have since joined the society.

Finland Futures Research Centre

Finland Futures Research Centre refines visionary knowledge regarding alternative futures and the challenges and possibilities included in them. The Centre offers analytical futures-oriented information in interesting formats to back up its clients futures processes. The Centre's academic research focuses mainly on such themes as foresight, environmental and energy research, innovations, social and cultural research and research on creative industries.

Otava Folk High School

Otava Folk High School is over a hundred years old (founded in 1892). It is a non-committed folk high school located in the small village of Otava approximately 12 kilometres from the city of Mikkeli in the middle of the south-eastern lake-Finland. Otava Folk High School provides all-round educational instruction as well as open university courses. Otava Folk High School is also firmly connected with the ESF-supported learning and multimedia workshop programme for youths and plays a crucial and integral part of the virtual learning environment Internetix Campus. Otava Folk High School is owned by the city of Mikkeli.

The Association of Finnish eLearning Centre

The Association of Finnish eLearning Centre is an independent national association that promotes sharing of knowledge, best practices and quality in eLearning. The Centre distributes information and performs as a contact surface for partner finding, such as experts and service providers, in Finnish eLearning market.
